This page explaing the practical steps to take for members that want to conduct online research. The first part describes the process for members who want to contribute to the annotaded bibliography database. The second part helps members that want to conduct other online research,a nd the third part is for members that want to build their own online centers.
HOW-TO conduct online research How?
Diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes need to be classified. In addition, they need to be developed in depth and verified by research. Both aspects, classification and the study and testing of diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes are essential to the development of nursing knowledge The systematic organization and retrieval of information focused on one or more diagnoses, interventions, or outcomes links and supports the development of nursing knowledge. This is the purpose and the rationale underlying NLINKS Research Center. HOW-TO create a NLINKS Center Who? Any NLINKS member is eligible to submit a design for a new NLINKS Center. What? There are any number of reasons for starting an NLINKS Center. For example, informaticists may want an Informatics Center, taxonomists a Taxonomy Center, standards developers a Standards Center, clinicians a Clinicians Center, educators an Education Center, pain diagnosticians and managers a Pain Center, international colleagues an International Center. These are just a few examples of what kind of Centers may be developed at the NLINKS website. Where? NLINKS is currently coordinated by Dr. Mary Ann Lavin for the NANDA Office, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Lavin is an Associate Professor at Saint Louis University. The webmaster is located at Saint Louis University. However, because NLINKS is an online, virtual organization, any NLINKS member from anywhere on the globe may access the site or develop an NLINKS Center. How?
